Community Activities Something for everyone
Although Bendrigg supports people from across the UK we also have a lot to offer for the local community.
Our inclusive climbing clubs runs fortnightly during term time and allows teenagers of all abilities to learn to climb in a safe, supported and fun environment. Perfect for teenagers with a disability or disadvantage and their friends, this is a chance to make new friends, learn a sport, challenge yourself and have fun! Aiming High Field
Our Aiming High Community Field has been developed since 2013 and improvements are being made each year. It includes inclusive play area with wheelchair roundabout and swing, accessible toilet facilities, adapted bike and trike hire, safe cycle paths around our field and woodland, picnic benches for lunch and large grassy areas for games. Our Aiming High Field is available to use by the local community however we are grateful for donations to support the upkeep and maintenance of this important resource (suggested donation of £50/year/family or £10/visit). Please call us to arrange an induction of the facilities.
Our monthly Arty Pants club is run by our Artist in Residence, Emily. On the first Saturday of each month families with a disabled child can come and try a variety of fun arts and crafts and make beautiful creations to take home.
