With over 35 years experience of working in the outdoors supporting people with disabilities, Bendrigg Trust are a specialist centre and a leader in our field. We are continually developing to ensure we remain at the forefront of disability innovation and are proud to share our knowledge, expertise and skills with others towards our ultimate vision of an inclusive society where everyone is equal. We help schools, colleges, outdoor education centres and youth centres to develop their services to enable participation by people of all abilities.

Disability Awareness Training
Bendrigg Trust has been delivering disability awareness courses for many years. The training is designed to increase confidence in working with people with a disability and the delivery of inclusive activities.
Climbing for All is a one day course providing an introduction to instructing disabled people in climbing. The purpose of the course is to provide instructors and coaches with increased confidence and skills to enable people with disabilities to experience and enjoy climbing. The course also provides an opportunity to test your instructing skills in new territories. MTA members will receive 1 CPD point for attending this course.
Depending on your existing knowledge you can chose from either a morning course which provides an introduction to disability awareness in a Paddlesport setting or an intermediate full day course aimed at coaches wishing to develop their knowledge of adaptive equipment and coaching principles.
Moving & Assisting People In The Outdoor Environment
The aim of the course is to train delegates in the current and best practice when moving and
assisting people in the outdoor environment.
