Acorn House is a self-contained accommodation unit which is wheelchair friendly and accessible for all to enjoy.

It sleeps up to 24 people across 10 en-suite bedrooms so it’s perfect for a large group. It also has its own central lounge, kitchen and dining area for preparing meals and socialising.

Location

Acorn House is a group accommodation building set within the 15 acre grounds of Bendrigg Trust – a specialist outdoor education centre and charity, working with those of all abilities. During the year, the building is used mainly by school groups, charities or families, booking an all inclusive trip to stay in the accommodation, have food provided and take part in a full programme of adventure activities provided by Bendrigg.

However there are occasional dates throughout the year where the building is available to hire either as self catered or a catered accommodation option.

The building is located on the outskirts of Kendal, making it a fantastic base to explore The Lake District National Park which as several “miles without stiles” walks

and on the other side The Yorkshire Dales National Park who also have “miles without stiles” walks and tramper hire for visits to places such as Ingle borough show cave.
