Spring & Summer Services at Bendrigg

Spring & Summer At Bendrigg Trust

We hope you’re all ready and raring to get back outdoors and take on some of your favourite adventure activities at Bendrigg once again. Here are the services we are offering over the Spring and Summer Months in 2021.

*Subject to availability and changes in government guidance

Free Grounds Access Days (March – April)

After the demand in 2020 for a safe, accessible outdoor space, Bendrigg once again are opening up our 15 acre grounds to families with disabilities to access between March and April.

The grounds have accessible paths running throughout, with a woodland trail, musical instrument garden and a wheelchair accessible roundabout and swing. You could bring your bikes, a picnic or just yourselves and enjoy exploring the beautiful natural surroundings alongside your family or friends.

You must book for your group in line with current government guidelines. As of the 29th March you will be able to meet outdoors either in a group of 6 (from any number of households), or in a group of any size from up to 2 households (each household can include existing support bubbles, if eligible) New dates will be added each week on a rolling basis.

Day Activities (April – June)

For Families

Funded For Local Families

Thanks to funding we have been able to offer some subsidised rates for families from local areas to take part in Day Activities.

Each day available is for one group which can be up to a maximum of 12 people from 2 families/households and at least one member of your group (adult or child) will have a disability.

Day activities will run from 9.30am – 4.30pm and could include a selection of activities such as canoeing, cycling, sensory room, archery, zip wire, orienteering, sensory swing and tube slide. Activity availability depends on a number of factors so not all activities may be available on each day.
