Fully Inclusive & Accessible Courses At Bendrigg Trust

Bendrigg Trust specialises in the provision of outdoor activities for people with disabilities.

We take special pride in offering fully inclusive & accessible DofE courses to cater for people of all abilities.

Our highly trained staff are on hand to help you through your DofE programme, and we have the specialist equipment to ensure you are able to complete your DofE award to the very best of your ability.

We can provide:

• Expeditions via foot, wheelchair, canoe or a combination of all

• Accommodation can be either camping with specialist equipment or wheelchair accessible bunkhouse

• All safety and specialist equipment

• All group equipment supplied including cooking stoves, tents, rucksacks, roll mats, maps & compasses and first aid kit.

• Supervision throughout the training and expeditions

• Accredited assessors

• Support with the variation and green forms

• Experienced staff

What are the Duke Of Edinburgh’s Awards?

There are 3 levels of Awards : Bronze, Silver & Gold

For each level you must complete the sections outlined below as part of your programme:

Physical
Skills
Expedition
Residential (Gold Only)

What services do Bendrigg offer to help you achieve your awards?

Our experienced team can work with you to deliver the training and qualifying expeditions & residential sections of your DofE Award programme. Please note that at this time we do not have any courses for individuals and can only provide group DofE courses. If you have at least 4 people undertaking the same DofE Award level then please get in touch to see how we can help.
