Do you want to make a real difference to peoples lives?

Bendrigg Trust is more than just an outdoor centre, our work has a huge impact on the lives of our visitors – that’s around 100,000 disabled people and carers since our charity was established in 1978.

Our people are what make Bendrigg Trust so special, they truly care and are passionate about making a difference to peoples lives. Working at Bendrigg is like being part of a family, we respect each other and we work well together to find solutions and enable people to achieve things they may never have though were possible.

“We met some lovely parents and wonderful children during our stay and we were looked after by the most caring, enthusiastic, supportive, understanding and professional staff we could hope for. I know you know they are tremendous, but I hope you tell them often, and remind them how much this work is appreciated by families living with special needs.”

“I recently came on a South Lakes family weekend, which was a brilliant experience in every way.

However when I came home, I was thinking about the very best thing about Bendrigg and I wanted to share with you this realisation. It is most definitely in my humble opinion the Tutors. They are what really make Bendrigg an amazing experience and they are most definitely the cherry on the pie.

My first visit to Bendrigg was last November with Craig & Simon and they were both amazing and the second visit we had Mel & Beth, again both inspiring and amazing.

On both occasions their patience, expertise, kindness, knowledge, insightfulness, experience, support & wisdom was what really made the experience both magical & memorable.

It felt important to feed this back to you, that you really do have some seriously awesome staff and they truly are what make the Bendrigg experience extra – ordinary.

With huge heartfelt gratitude to you & your incredible staff.”

Join the Bendrigg team as our ‘Bendrigg Alternative’ Scheme Co-ordinator. This is an exciting and unique project which has been paused for the last two years due to the pandemic.

The aim of the Scheme is to reduce the likelihood of reoffending by providing positive experiences which help to change the way BA volunteers think and relate to others. Since the Scheme’s inception in 1991, many people have benefitted from such a powerful and positive experience. The Bendrigg Alternative (BA) Co-ordinator is responsible for organising and developing the BA Scheme, reporting directly to the Business Development Manager.
