Sedbergh Gives Back
Today was Sedbergh Gives Back Day – where over 500 pupils from the local schools volunteer at various local charities to give back!
We had a group of 40 pupils from Powell House attend and help Ed our maintenance man with all sorts of maintenance and grounds work including developing an accessible wheelchair obstacle course.
The weather didn’t put them off and each individual worked extremely hard to achieve a great deal in just 8 hours.
We have just 1 full time maintenance man onsite at Bendrigg, for him to have accomplished all that you have today, would have taken him weeks. Volunteering really does make a huge difference to our small charity and is very much appreciated”
Nick Liley, Bendrigg Principal
We also received a beautiful Christmas Wreath from the pupils at Robertson House which is making Bendrigg look very festive!
Thank you to all of the amazing pupils who have volunteered at local charities today, it’s with these acts of kindness, that small charities like us can make huge progress in such a short space of time, you should all be extremely proud of yourselves!
