Netty Coleman – JollyDays Supported Holidays
I work for a holiday company, taking people with Learning disabilities away on holidays. I go away on holiday 25 times a year with different groups, with all kinds of disabilities, all over the UK, Europe and the USA.
I first visited Bendrigg about 8 years ago. We visit a few times a year and usually bring 9 guests at a time. I can honestly say this is my favourite holiday and place to stay.
The scenery is stunning, it truly calms the most head strong of clients with lots of space to roam around and chill out. The Acorn House is truly a god send and makes the clients, myself and other staff very relaxed, it’s like a home away from home with a huge lounge that we have lots of fun in such as disco’s and cinema nights after the evening activities.
The day’s are fun packed with lots of indoor and outside pursuits that always gives a huge confidence boost to my clients, who always go home re-energised and very happy. This couldn’t be achieved without the help of the wonderful staff who are so caring, patient and kind and always think about the clients safety and how they can make confidences grow and have fun. You can tell the staff really love all the people staying and truly give 100% to the group, nothing is too much trouble.
The food at Bendrigg is always amazing and plentiful the catering staff always ask if everything is ok, which it always is and if we would like anything else they will cater for all dietary needs.
I can honestly say I would not change anything at Bendrigg thank you for all you do.
