These courses are for individuals with a visual impairment wanting to challenge themselves to try new activities; from introductory weekends to longer courses and expeditions, these courses can either be based at the Bendrigg site or further afield. These webpages are deliberately designed with fewer images to make them more accessible for people with visual impairments.
Each Visually Impaired participant has the support of a sighted volunteer guide and each course is carefully designed to build skill sets, confidence and friendships. Whether it’s a canoeing expedition on the Dordogne River or your first caving trip underground in the Yorkshire Dales, our staff and volunteers are here to make sure you get the most out of the course.
