BBC Radio 4 Charity Appeal Raising Awareness & Funds

BBC Radio 4 Charity Appeal
Sunday 13th November 2016

The BBC Radio 4 Appeal is a weekly 3 minute programme highlighting the work of a charity and appealing for donations to support its activities. The appeal aims to provide an opportunity for raising money and awareness to a variety of charities and Bendrigg Trust was lucky to have secured a slot in November 2016. The appeal is a fantastic way to engage with the BBC’s audience and share our users’ stories.

We were extremely lucky to have Jamie Andrew presenting our story and supporting us for our appeal. Jamie Andrew is an incredible Scottish mountaineer who, despite having no hands or feet, has made some amazing ascents all over the world. As a quadruple amputee, Jamie has also made many other remarkable achievements, raising many thousands of pounds for charity along the way.

You can listen to the BBC Radio 4 Appeal every Sunday at 07:55 and 21:25 and again on Thursday at 15:25. You can listen to our appeal now on the BBC Radio 4 website.

You can also donate to our appeal by filling in the form below. To date we have raised £11,910 towards our Sponsorship Fund plus an additional £5,000 of general donations. Thank you to everyone who has supported this appeal so far.
