The
Bendrigg Trust was established in 1978 to specialise in courses
and activities for disabled and disadvantaged young people. During
this period we have developed a reputation as one of the most
versatile and forward thinking residential centres in the country.
Groups enjoy a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities and,
at the same time learn a great deal about themselves and others.
This is especially true when group members from different backgrounds
share activities and facilities at the lodge.

Groups which include disabled members can be accommodated since special facilities and equipment are provided. The centre is ideally located between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales and offers a wide range of activity options. Our relatively small size enables us to create an informal atmosphere and have a flexible approach.
Visiting
groups benefit from the expertise of our tutorial staff. The emphasis is on
confidence building and cooperation with others, regardless of the level
of activity being undertaken, and attention is given to each groups' needs
in the planning of the programme. Whatever the particular requirement and
whatever the ability of the participants we are confident that we will
be able to fulfil their aims and objectives.
Bendrigg
Lodge is administered by the Bendrigg Trust which is a registered charity (No.
508450). Members of the trust provide their services on a voluntary basis.
