This is to certify that the Bendrigg Trust has in place a full set of risk assessments and safe operating procedures for all of the activities to be undertaken by our visiting groups. Risk Assessments are updated whenever necessary and the whole document is reviewed on an annual basis. This document is available in the Bendrigg office for viewing at any time.

The Bendrigg Trust has public liability insurance for up to £10,000,000.

The Bendrigg Trust is inspected on a biennial basis by the Adventure Activities Licensing Service and our current licence to operate is number: L8732/R0314.

In November 2009, Bendrigg Trust became one of the first outdoor Education Centres in the UK to be awarded the AHOEC GOLD standard badge. This also entitles Bendrigg to display both the ‘Learning outside the Classroom’ and the ‘Adventuremark’ badges. The AHOEC GOLD standard is awarded for excellent standards of safety and quality in all areas of its provision.
